Is everything on the menu vegetarian?
Yes — Prashad Café is 100% vegetarian. There is no meat, fish or seafood in our kitchens. Dishes named 'chicken' (like Soy Butter Chicken or Chicken Chettinad) are made with soya, never poultry.
Do you have vegan options?
Absolutely. A large portion of our menu is vegan, and every dish is clearly labelled with Vegan, Vegetarian, Sattvic or Gluten-Free badges so you can order with confidence. If you're unsure, just ask our team.
Do you offer gluten-free dishes?
Yes — several of our curries, dals and sides are naturally gluten-free and marked accordingly. Please let us know about allergies when you order so we can guide you to the safest options.
Can I book a table?
Table bookings are handled directly by each full-service café. Please call the branch you'd like to visit — Wandel Street, Constantia or Rondebosch — and our team will confirm availability. Prashad Express stores are counter-service only.
Do you deliver, or can I collect?
Both. You can place an order online for collection or delivery from any of our three full-service Prashad Café branches. Use the 'Order Online' button anywhere on the site and choose your nearest café. Prashad Express stores are walk-up only.
Do you cater for events?
Yes — we cater for weddings, corporate functions, birthdays and university events. Head to our Catering page to send an enquiry and our team will tailor a menu for your event.
Where are you located?
We have three full-service Prashad Café branches — Wandel Street, Gardens, Old Constantia Village, Constantia, Fountain Square, Rondebosch — plus two Prashad Express stores on the UCT campus: UCT Upper Campus, UCT Middle Campus. Full addresses, hours and directions are on the Locations page.
What are your opening hours?
Our full-service cafés are open daily, typically from late morning through to 9pm. Prashad Express stores follow campus hours, Monday to Friday. Exact hours vary by location — see the Locations page for each branch's schedule.
